I am going to complete B. Des in a few weeks. I am thinking of furthering my studies, but due to a business loss, my family's financial situation is very bad. I have to start working to support my family, but at the same ime, have no heart to let go of my passion for the design field. Can I pursue part-time PG courses anywhere in India?

Hello,

I understand that you are facing a difficult situation where you want to support your family due to financial difficulties but also don't want to let go of your passion for the design field. Pursuing part-time postgraduate (PG) courses can be a good option for you to balance both your responsibilities. While I don't have access to real-time information, I can provide some general guidance.

In India, several universities and institutes offer part-time PG courses in design. Some renowned institutions in the design field include the National Institute of Design (NID), the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) - IIT Bombay, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). These institutions often provide part-time programs or weekend courses that can be suitable for individuals who are working or have other commitments.

To find specific part-time PG courses in design, you can explore the websites of these institutions or search for other design institutes in your preferred location. Additionally, consider reaching out to local universities, colleges, or design schools to inquire about their part-time program offerings.

It's essential to research the admission requirements, course duration, and fees associated with the programs you are interested in. You may also want to consider scholarships, financial aid, or installment payment options that institutions may provide to support students in need.

Remember to plan your finances and commitments wisely to ensure that you can handle the workload of both work and studies effectively. It might also be helpful to have open communication with your family and discuss your aspirations and constraints, as they can provide support and understanding during this time.

Lastly, keep in mind that the availability of part-time PG courses and their specific details can vary over time. It's crucial to verify the information by directly contacting the institutions or checking their official websites for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding part-time design courses.
