I failed NATA entrance exam for this year. How many times can I appear at the NATA test? Do they take an average of all attempts or the best out of them?

Hello,

Based on the database I can provide information based on the NATA guidelines available till my knowledge cut-off date of 2021. As per the NATA guidelines for the year 2021, a candidate can attempt the NATA exam for a maximum of two times in a year.

The authorities will not take the average of the attempts; they will consider the highest score secured by the candidate in the NATA exam. So, if you have appeared for the exam twice, the admission authorities will consider the score that you have secured in your latest attempt.

It is important to note that the guidelines and rules may change each year, and it's always better to check the latest information on the official website of NATA or contact the concerned authorities for accurate and updated information.

Regarding the evaluation of multiple attempts, the official website of NATA states that the exam scorecard will display the "best marks secured by the candidate in all attempts" taken by the candidate. This means that if you appear for the exam multiple times, only the highest score among all your attempts will be considered for admission to architecture programs.

However, it is important to note that the eligibility criteria for admission to different architecture programs may vary from institution to institution. Some institutions may consider the average of multiple attempts, while others may only consider the highest score. Therefore, it is advisable to check the admission criteria of the institutions where you wish to apply before appearing for multiple attempts.

In summary, you can appear for the NATA entrance exam multiple times, and only the highest score among all your attempts will be considered for admission to architecture programs. However, it is important to check the admission criteria of the institutions where you wish to apply to know their specific policies on evaluating multiple attempts.
