Hello,
The UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) is a highly competitive exam conducted for admission into various design programs in India. The exam consists of three sections:
Part A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, which are computer-based and require candidates to solve problems and enter the answer using a virtual keyboard. Each correct answer in this section carries 4 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.19 marks for each incorrect answer.
Part B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), which are also computer-based and require candidates to select multiple correct answers. Each correct answer in this section carries 4 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Part C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), which are again computer-based and require candidates to select one correct answer. Each correct answer in this section carries 3 marks, and there is a negative marking of 1.32 marks for each incorrect answer.
To pass the UCEED exam, you need to meet the minimum qualifying criteria set by the conducting body. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the minimum percentage of marks required to qualify for the General/EWS/OBC-NCL category was 10% in each of the three sections (Part A, Part B, and Part C) individually. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD categories, the minimum percentage of marks required was 5% in each section.
It's important to note that the minimum qualifying criteria may vary from year to year, and it's always best to refer to the official UCEED website or the information provided by the organising institute for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding passing marks.
Remember, even if you feel anxious, try to stay positive and hopeful. Waiting for exam results can be a nerve-wracking experience, but regardless of the outcome, remember that failure is not the end. There are always alternative paths and opportunities available to pursue your dreams and passions
