Is it true that the seat intake for UCEED is very low? If I am preparing for the UCEED exam what should I keep as a backup option as there are limited seats only?

This is a very subjective question.

There is quite an ample amount of seat intake in the various IIT’s, but this complete depends on some factors.

The Cut-off you get and complete the admission process with the requisite percentile, then you are IN.

Secondly, the Course program and the specialization subjects which you are taking as well will be a factor in the availability of seats.

So, now if you are somehow unable to get the above points and factors on your side, then the option which you are left with is some other reputed design institute that accepts UCEED score like NID etc. Here again you must make sure you get your preferred Course program with the specialization subjects you want to select.
