NATA is an entrance exam which is conducted by National Institute of advanced studies in architecture (NIASA) the body of council of Architecture in India. This entrance exam is a national level examination. Students who are willing to study Bachelor of architecture or some other relevant architecture courses at all recognized institutions across India, can give NATA after their 12th examination.
NATA measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability by 2parted exams.
Council of Architecture which conduct NATA, permits various educational institutions to grant admission in the B.Arch programme on the basis of aspirant's performance in NATA. Aspirants must score more than 70 out of 200 to be selected for college counselling. There will be no centralised counselling process to get admission after NATA. To get admission in institutions of their choice, Candidates need to apply for that institute separately And have to fulfil the eligibility criteria set by that particular institution. If you want to get admission in top notch college with B. Arch you definitely need to score well.
More than 379 institutes are there empanelled by CoA which offer admission in B. Arch course on the basis of candidate’s score in NATA. Approximately, 21,458 B. Arch seats are available all over Indian institutions.
