ABOUT CEED
Common entrance examination for design or popularly known as CEED is a national level entrance examination for candidates who wants to pursue Masters in design from top notch colleges and institutions. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay to test ability to draw and sketch, logical reasoning along with creative sight of the candidates.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CEED for M. Des candidates
- Candidates must complete their degree or diploma or PG Degree programme of minimum 3 Years or must be appearing for the final examination of such program.
- Candidates must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level).
- CEED has no age limit.
Exam pattern within which candidates have to go through
CEED has two parts – part A and part B.
- Part A which will be held online and include objective-type questions, as NAT, MCQ. MSQ. It’s a 100 marks paper which will conduct for 1 hour
- Part B. will held in offline mode, to test the design, drawing, and writing skills of the candidate. It’s a 100 marks paper which will conduct for 2 hours.
CEED SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection through CEED entrance exam may vary from college to college. The basic selection procedure is given below-
- candidates have to qualify in CEED exam with the cut off marks of their preferred colleges. The colleges which accept CEED score select candidates on the basis of their performance in CEED exam.
- after the result is being out the next step is CEED Counselling and selection process. Here the candidates are bring shortlisted.
- the shortlisted candidates then again have to appear for another design aptitude test and a personal interview round in order to grab the seat at their preferred top colleges.
Important dates for CEED 2023
- Application starts- 30th of September 2022
- Application ends- 9th of November 2022
- Admit card release- 13rd of Jan 2023
- CEED exam 2023- 22nd of Jan 2023
- Declaration of CEED 2023 results- 7th of March 2023
