WHAT IS UID?

UID - United world Institute of Design, one of the leading design schools in India, is located in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar. They conduct a UID Aptitude Test to give admission to aspirants in Design courses offered by the college.

UID provides an opportunity to their aspirants to study Bachelor of Design (BDesign), Integrated Master of Design (Integrated MDesign), BDesign (GDP - Global Design Programme) as well as M.Design programs. They evaluate candidates on the foundation of their performance in the UID Aptitude Test.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR UID?

As mentioned above, UID conducts an entrance exam, basically an aptitude test in offline mode.  UID’s admission process is a two-tier process. In tier 1, aspirants need to give the UID DAT - Design Aptitude Test, the tier 2 consists of a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation like other Fashion and Design entrance examinations.

Some Suggestions For Both UG and PG UID Aspirants that they should keep in mind while preparing for the examination are as follows-

• Aspirants should be well acquainted with their knowledge of current affairs and general awareness as they are assessed on the basis of their aptitude regarding current affairs and General Knowledge.
• The aspirant should be able to display his/her creative ability as they evaluate the aspirants on the basis of their creativity, imagination, their power of observation, and design ability of the aspirant.
• One should also groom themselves and should be confident during the interview session.
