Stage 3: Personal Interview and Studio Test
This exam has 67 questions in total, 64 of which are of the objective kind in Section A and 3 of the subjective type in Section B.
The test carries a 100-point weighting overall. The testing medium is paper and pen. English is the primary language of instruction for NID DAT 2023.
Your overall personality will be evaluated in a personal interview by a panel of experts from business and academia based on your general knowledge, extracurricular activities, academic performance, and particular fields of interest.
Throughout the interview, you should keep a positive mindset and a charming demeanour.
All responses must be succinct and concise.
Maintaining eye contact with the interviewers will demonstrate your confidence and knowledge of the questions they are asking you.
Wear classy business attire, and pay close attention to your footwear choice.
Before entering the interview room, be careful to get permission.
The Design Aptitude Test is an entrance exam that the National Institute of Design (NID) administers each year (DAT). The Situation Test and Personal Interview Round are both conducted after this entrance exam.
There are roughly 125 places for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme across all the NIDs combined.
The National Institute of Design (NID) offers a Bachelor in Design programme at its 3 campuses i.e. NID Ahmedabad, NID Bangalore, and NID Gandhinagar. On its different campuses, NID (National Institute of Design) annually provides a Graduate Diploma Program in Design (GDPD).
NID Andhra Pradesh (AP), NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh (MP), and NID Assam are the campuses that provide GDPD programmes.
