Yes Heena! UID do have a textile and knitwear design course. But this course is available only in post graduation degree of 2 years.
ABOUT UID
UID stands for United world institute of Design established in the year 2011. This Institute is one of the premier Design Institutes among India. UID under Karnavati University offers both under graduation and post graduation courses which is B. Des and M. Des. The University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). UID has collaborated with several organisations such as World Design Organisation (WDO), Cumulus, IFFTI and The Association of Commonwealth Universities.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- There is no age limit for candidates to study in UID, candidates are being selected on the basis of UID DAT score. Candidates have to match the cut off marks to get chance to study at UID.
- final selection of candidates will be based on the UID DAT scores and the performance in GDPI in case of B. Des and M. Des admission.
- Candidates who are applying for bachelor’s degree course, must have done their 10+2 degree course from any recognized board with any relevant stream.
- Candidates applying for Masters in design, must have done graduation in any relevant subject from recognised university.
- To take Admission in PhD programme is based on UGC NET/ JRF/ TRF/ CSIR/ ICAR/ ICMR/ DBT/ DST/ GATE/ CAT scores and also the Candidates, who have completed master’s degree from a recognised university.

Fees of Master of Design or M. Des in textile and kintwear design course for 2 Years is approximately ₹ 9,00,000

- UID DAT application last date- still not notified. Keep an eye on the site.
- UID DAT admit card- still not notified.
- UID DAT examination 2023- January 29, 2023, Sunday
- Result out- date will be declare right after the examination in over.
- Situation Test (ST)/Portfolio Evaluation (PE) round- 2023, April
- 2nd round result- date will be declared after the 2nd round examination.
