ABOUT FDDI 

FDDI stands for Footwear Design & Development Institute is a design Institute which offers professional programmes in Footwear Design , Leather Goods & Accessory Design , Fashion Design , and Retail & Fashion Merchandise. FDDI have total 12 campuses all over India. FDDI is not certified by UGC rather it’s a self Governing institution under ministry of commerce & industry. Since 1986, this institution is running successfully with good academic results and offering the best placements to their students in the fields of Footwear, Fashion and leather goods & Retail.

DIFFERENT SPECIALISATIONS OFFERED BY FDDI COLLEGES

FDDI offers total 6 courses including both under graduation and post graduation degrees. Courses such as-

1. BACHELOR OF DESIGN (B. DES) IN FOOTWEAR DESIGN & PRODUCTION (FDP)-

it’s a 4 years course which includes 8 semesters. Candidates needs to pass 10+2 examination and should be maximum 25 year to study B. Des in FDP at FDDI. This course is available in Noida, Rohtak, Chandigarh, Fursatganj (Raebareli), Jodhpur Campus, Guna, Chennai Campus, Chhindwara, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Patna, Ankleshwar (Surat) campuses. 

2. MASTER OF DESIGN (M. DES) IN FOOTWEAR DESIGN & PRODUCTION (FDP)-

it’s a 2 years course which includes 4 semesters. To study this course, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Footwear or Leather Goods or Design or Fashion or Fine arts or Architecture or Engineering or Production or Technology. This course is available in Noida and Chennai campuses. 

3. BACHELOR OF DESIGN (B. DES) IN FASHION DESIGN (FD)-

it’s a 4 years course which includes 8 semesters. Candidates needs to pass 10+2 examination to study B. Des in Fashion design at FDDI. This course is available in Noida, Rohtak, Chandigarh, Fursatganj (Raebareli), Jodhpur, Chennai, Chhindwara, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Patna, Ankleshwar (Surat) campuses. 

4. BACHELOR OF DESIGN (B. DES) IN LEATHER GOODS & ACCESSORIES DESIGN (LGAD)-

it’s a 4 years course which includes 8 semesters. Candidates needs to pass 10+2 examination and should be maximum 25 year to study B. Des in LGAD at FDDI. This course is available in Noida, Hyderabad and Kolkata campuses. 

5. BBA IN RETAIL & FASHION MERCHANDISE (RFM)-

it’s a 3 years course which includes 6 semesters. Candidates needs to pass 10+2 examination to study BBA in RFM at FDDI. This course is available in Noida, Chandigarh and Patna campuses. 

6. MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) IN RETAIL & FASHION MERCHANDISE (RFM)-

it’s a 2 years course which includes 4 semesters. To study this course, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. This course is available in Noida, Chandigarh and Patna campuses. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA-

• Candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 examination in any stream from any recognized board such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or others. 
• Candidates who are Appearing for their Higher Secondary examination are eligible, but they need to give proof of having appeared for the examination during the Counselling part. 
• Final year graduation candidates can also apply, but they need to show their graduation degree or final mark sheet to their admission officer.
• Candidates with the age of 25 year in between 25th June 2023 only, are eligible. 
• Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• proficiency in English, both written and oral is must which will help them during interview part.

ENTRANCE EXAM OF FDDI

FDDI conducts a national level entrance examination All India Selection Test (AIST) to offer admission to interested candidates. The examination is known as FDDI AIST. The admission in any courses at FDDI is based on the score of FDDI AIST.

• FDDI take admission on the basis of some other entrance exams such as UCEED, MAT etc.

FDDI AIST- FDDI organise a 2 and half hour's pen and paper based examination which is called FDDI AIST. The exam is of 200 marks which consist 150 questions and the medium of exam is in English.
