Criteria for NID Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the NID (National Institute of Design) entrance test may differ based on the program and year of application. NID provides a variety of design programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Bachelor's Degree Programs (B.Des):
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 20 years old (three years younger for restricted groups).
Candidates must have passed or be scheduled to take their 10+2 (or equivalent) qualifying examinations from a recognized board such as CBSE, ISC, or state boards.
 

Learning Outcomes 
Understanding research methodology, method appropriation, the psychological worth of aesthetics, drawing and rendering, the workings of the human mind, and the restrictions of the human body. They study 3D modeling, engineering fundamentals, mechanism and material innovation, usability testing, and how to build functioning prototypes. They learn about lifecycle design and systems thinking in general. Hands-on experience, communication, thesis-level documentation, and portfolio development are all required.
