After Bauhaus and Ulm in Germany, NID has been a pioneer in industrial design education and is noted for its quest of design excellence to make Designed in India, Made for the World a reality. NID graduates have built a name for themselves in critical fields of commerce, industry, and social development by acting as catalysts and providing thought leadership.
NID has three campuses in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru as part of its expansion plan. NID Ahmedabad Campus is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat State, and provides 8 Bachelor Degree Programs and 7 Master Degree Programs (both of which last 2.5 years). The NID Ahmedabad Campus just launched a five-year Ph.D. program. NID Gandhinagar Campus is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat State, and offers seven 2.5-year master's programs. The NID Bengaluru Campus is located in the city of Bengaluru, in the state of Karnataka. The Bengaluru Campus offers 5 master's degree programs (2.5 years).
All NID campuses are available to visitors from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday (except on public holidays). To enter the campus, visitors must get a Visitor's Pass at the Main Gate. NID may organize a guided tour of campus if you are visiting us in a group with a previous appointment.
