NATA is the National Aptitude Test in Architecture and is conducted by the Council of Architecture(CoA). NATA is a national-level entrance exam conducted every year for aspirants seeking admission into UG programs Architecture. Since 2019, CoA has started conducting this exam twice a year as a computer-based test. NATA is quite popular among the applicants for the study of architecture in various institutes apart from NIT’s and IIT’s. Some quick insights about NATA are hereby:

The duration of the NATA exam is 3 hours consisting of 125 questions. A score of 100+ out of a total of 200 is considered a decent score in the NATA entrance exam. In 2021, NATA was conducted in 136 cities in India and 21,650 aspirants appeared for the test. Out of which, 11,583 aspirants stood qualified. The best thing is, that there is no age limit to apply for this exam and you can pursue your passion at any stage of your life. So, it’s never too late buddy! Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics are the compulsory subjects in 12th for being eligible for NATA. For one session, the application fee varies from 1500 to 2000 depending upon the category you belong to whereas for both the sessions of the year, the fee varies from 3000 to 4000 depending upon the category(Gen/ST/SC/OBC). After qualifying for this exam, you can go for a 5-year B.Arch program in institutes like Singhad College of Architecture(Pune), Rizvi College of Architecture(Mumbai), and Dehradun Institute of Technology, and a lot more. NATA entrance exam covers topics like Diagrammatic Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Inductive Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Situational Judgement, and Abstract Reasoning.
