12th mark sheet is important to fill up the form for NATA, so after you complete your 12th examination with 45-50% marks with PCM subjects, you can appear for NATA. Otherwise it will be a great decision if you start preparing for NATA while appearing for your 12th or in fact you can start preparing after 10th also.
NATA, National aptitude test for architecture, is an entrance exam which is conducted by National Institute of advanced studies in architecture (NIASA) the body of council of Architecture in India. This entrance exam is a national level examination. Students who are willing to study Bachelor of architecture or some other relevant architecture courses at all recognized institutions across India, can give NATA after their 12th examination.
NATA measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability.
Mathematics (20 questions each of 2 marks)
General Aptitude (40 questions each of 2 marks)
Drawing (2 questions )
According to the syllabus, you can start taking preparation for NATA after 10th also, because the syllabus will be familiar to you. You should just have a little bit of creativity and skills about drawing and perspective about making buildings.
To fill the form up for NATA you need to show 10th and 12th examination's result, so even if you start preparing for NATA even after 10th you cant appear for the exam. You can appear for NATA when you will have 12th result in your hand.
