Industrial Design is a process of designing and developing products that are manufactured through mass production techniques. The field of industrial design combines elements of engineering, ergonomics, and aesthetics to create products that are functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly. Industrial designers work with a variety of materials and technologies to create products ranging from small consumer goods, such as kitchen appliances and electronics, to large-scale products, such as automobiles and furniture. The goal of industrial design is to create products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also efficient, safe, and user-friendly, while taking into consideration factors such as production costs, market trends, and sustainability.
Candidates can pursue an Industrial Design course either at the graduation level or even at the postgraduate level.
