Yes, you can join NID after the 12th for pursuing your Bachelor in Design(B. Des.) course. There are just some criteria you are required to meet in order to do so. So let's check it out! Eligibility Criteria for B.Des. Courses All candidates applying for B.Des. must meet the eligibility criteria of both age and educational qualification.
Age Limit: For Indian nationals belonging to the General or General EWS category: Only those candidates born on or after 1st July 2002 are eligible to apply for admission.
For Indian nationals belonging to OBC/SC/ST category: Only those candidates born on or after 1st July 1999 are eligible to apply for admission.
For Indian Nationals in PwD Reserved Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1st July 1997 are eligible to apply for admission.
For Foreign Nationals in Overseas Category: Only those candidates born on or after 1st July 2002 are eligible to apply for admission.
Educational Qualification:
Applicants for the academic year 2022-23 are open to candidates who have passed or will appear for 10+2 qualifying exams in the academic year 2021-22 in any stream from any recognized board or institution.
Important Note:
Candidates must have passed their Class XII examination (higher secondary (10+2)) or equivalent at the time of document scrutiny/in-person counseling tentatively scheduled in May/June 2022. Candidates who have not passed their final board exam or equivalent before the document scrutiny/in-person counseling will not be eligible for admission.
