Online Counselling Process for NID DAT

The NID DAT online counselling procedure consists of three steps.

  1. Qualified Candidates' Online Consent
  2. Candidates' Online Document
  3. Uploading Admission provisional offer

1. Qualified Candidates' Online Consent

After online document verification, successful candidates whose names appear on the rank list will be assigned seats provisionally. To be eligible for the next round of the admission process, qualifying candidates must give their consent ONLINE ONLY.

Candidates should check the official admission website for the most recent revisions and submit their permission before the deadline.

If the candidate fails not submit the consent online by the deadline, he or she will be precluded from participating in the NID admissions process in the future.

Only applicants who qualified based on the rank list and submitted their consent online within the time period specified will be considered in the initial merit list for B.Des and M.Des programs (all disciplines). The eligible candidates' online agreement will be used to create the first merit list.

2. Candidates' Online Document Uploading

Candidates who qualified based on the initial Merit List will be required to provide scanned copies of the appropriate documents for verification. All necessary documentation must be issued in the candidate's name. Scanned copies of original documents should only be in JPEG format. The uploaded papers are checked to the information on the NID DAT Application Form, and an discrepancy will result in the termination of the candidature.

NID will only give provisional admission to those who are proven eligible throughout the verification process of the candidate's uploaded documentation.

The authorities will publish the deadline for submitting scanned copies of the required original papers for verification.

Successful candidates must provide scanned copies of the required documents or they will be excluded from further participation in the admission process.

3. Provisional Admission Offer Following the verification of the supplied papers, the Provisional Offer of Admission is issued, which contains information on the costs to be paid. This would be emailed to the candidate. The email will include the following attachments:

  • Rules and Regulations
  • Format of Physical Fitness Certificate (to be certified by an RMO)
  • Format of Undertaking to be submitted by the candidate (only in case if the result of 12th Standard or final year Bachelor program is not declared).
  • Indemnity Bond
  • Hostel Rules and Regulations and Hostel Application Form (for candidates of M. Des. at Gandhinagar campus, and candidates of B.Des. at Ahmedabad campus)

Before proceeding with the payment of fees, candidates must fill in all relevant data, as well as the signatures of the candidate and parents/guardians, on printed copies of all papers. The candidate's seat allocation will be verified at the end of this procedure.
