NATA, the National Aptitude Test in Architecture, is an entrance exam for those candidates who wish to pursue their studies in architecture after their 12th or further studies.

What is NATA?

NATA is the National Aptitude Test in Architecture which is conducted by COA since 2006 according to the provisions of CoA, as per the minimum standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 1983, as this aptitude test is important to get admission B.Arch. Degree course.

In India, the largest industry is the agricultural industry followed by the Construction Industry which explains that a huge number of opportunities in terms of jobs and vacancies in the field are open and, even getting wider. One such career field that has seen big growth lately is the Architecture sector. Hence, these days a lot of students are seen moving to this field, working hard to crack entrance exams like NATA & JEE.

NATA Cut-off

Candidates who are appearing in NATA and wish to qualify should score a minimum of 40% of the total marks which is 70 0ut of 200 marks. The official cut-off for the NATA examination would be announced by the council of architecture once the exam cycle is completed.  NATA examination evaluation would vary based on various factors such as the number of candidates who appeared for the NATA exam, The difficulty level of the question paper, the number of seats available on different campuses, the Candidate’s performance in the exam, and the Last year’s Cut-off trends.

The qualifying cut-off of the NATA Examination is mentioned below:

•        Qualifying Mark - 70 (Approx)

•        Cut Off Marks -200( Approx)

Though the authorities have set the minimum qualifying marks for NATA 2022, each college will release a separate category-wise cut-off to get admission into B.Arch program. Admission to top NATA Colleges completely depends on the rank secured by a candidate.
