CRITERIA FOR NID 2023 B.DES ELIGIBILITY

At NID, the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme lasts four years (National Institute of Design).

Every year, the NID Ahmedabad campus organises a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme in order to help young, brilliant applicants get admission to one of India's most esteemed and famous design institutions.

The National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad has added a total of 100 seats this year for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) Program. For the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree, there are 15 places reserved for international applicants.

Candidates accepted into the National Institute of Design's Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree must complete an obligatory 1-year foundation programme (NID).

The candidate will be given a discipline after completing the foundation programme based solely on their performance over the previous year and the number of seats available in the preferred discipline.

English is used at NID (National Institute of Design) as the direction and comparison language.

As of 30 July 2021, candidates for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme may not be older than 20 years. Candidates from the reserved category will have their upper age limit relaxed by three years.
