No. NID (Gandhinagar Campus) offers M. Des course in Apparel Design.
Through the research of materials, processes, and technology, the Apparel Design field emphasizes process-centric learning and tackles present and upcoming problems for functionality, the environment, and socioeconomic development. The program's goal is to train people to be creative and responsible designers capable of handling numerous areas of today's highly competitive and diversified garment industry.
Students are provided area-specific inputs that steadily increase in complexity after a foundation semester. Subjects such as 'History of Costume and Fashion Design,' 'Science and Liberal Arts,' and 'Design Management' help students develop a comprehensive knowledge foundation. Project-based learning fosters the development of skills and conceptual abilities by encouraging students to pursue their creative capacities. Students improve their capacity to operate in a team and as individuals through 'learning by doing,' multidisciplinary engagement, and research-based learning.
