ABOUT IIAD

The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) is the prestigious design school situated in New Delhi, know for their design and communication courses. IIAD New Delhi was named the "Best Communication Design College in India by Asia Today” at the Asian Education Summit and Awards 2021. The courses IIAD offers such as Fashion Designing, Communication Designing, Interior Architecture and Designing, Fashion Business Management, Fashion Communication, etc.

COURSES OFFER BY IIAD

UNDER GRADUATION COURSES-

Under graduation courses at IIAD is about 4 years course. IIAD offers 4 specialisation courses in under graduation degree, which are fashion design, interior architecture and design, communication design, fashion communication.

The total fee structure for B. Des at IIAD is-

B. Des course fees per year is ₹4,87,134.
Other Fees (One time fees payable at the time of admission for all courses) which includes admission fees and Refundable Security Deposit are ₹ 67,200.

POST GRADUATION COURSES-

 IIAD offers 2 years of post graduation course in design. IIAD provides 2 specialisation courses in masters or post graduation degree, which are fashion design, fashion business management. 

The total fee structure for Masters course at IIAD is-

Masters in Fashion Business Management is INR 7,50,000.
Masters in Fashion Design is INR 6,50,000 in total.
Other Fees (One time fees payable at the time of admission for all courses) which includes admission fees and Refundable Security Deposit are ₹ 67,200.

ADMISSION PROCESS AT IIAD-

To take admission in IIAD's various courses, candidates have to go through IIAD's entrance examination and exam process. Entrance exams are the only way to get chance in IIAD. Entrance exams such as IDAT, IMAT, personal interview, studio stimulation. 

IDAT: IIAD’s Design Aptitude Test is a written test to examine candidate’s creative and visual ability, cultural awareness and logical thinking. This paper consist visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers and multiple choice questions. Candidates who are willing to pursue Interior and Architecture Design, Fashion Design, communication design, fashion communication and fashion designing; have to go through IDAT.
IMAT: IIAD's Management Aptitude Test is a written test designed to examine candidate’s language, logical reasoning and creative thinking. This paper consists multiple choice questions and writing tasks. Candidates who are willing to pursue fashion business management, must go through IMAT. 
Personal interview: In Personal Interview candidates will have face to face interaction with IIAD to determine their stability. IIAD will guide the candidates about how the programme meet their aspirations and interests with understanding. Candidates have to go through this step after giving IMAT and IDAT for Fashion business management and fashion design courses. 
Studio simulation: It is a workshop where eligible candidates will form small groups and create a 3D model using given materials. This assessment is to determine the skills of making, creative thinking, problem-solving & team work within candidates.
