What is NATA?

NATA is the National Aptitude Test in Architecture which is conducted by COA since 2006 according to the provisions of CoA, as per the minimum standards of Architectural Education Regulations, 1983, as this aptitude test is important to get admission B.Arch. Degree course.

But other than NATA there are many other entrance exams available for candidates who wish to pursue architecture. Thus, here’s a list of Entrance Exams in Architecture-

There are two national-level entrance exams available for Architecture basically a candidate can go for-

1. JEE- B.Arch:

This is the Paper Two of the JEE Mains exam which is given on the same day as the JEE Offline exam in the afternoon.

2. Other Entrances-

One can also apply to colleges in other cities like Bangalore Colleges like RV College, CMR, and MS Ramaiah Colleges. But for these colleges, one may have to sit for COMED K (B.Arch). Submit the NATA Score in the Application Form.

There is also an option for a candidate to apply to Mumbai Colleges like JJ College of Architecture, Rizvi, or Raheja, then it's a must for the candidate to give the MH-AR-CAT or Maharashtra Architecture Common Aptitude Test.

3. MH-AR-CET or Maharashtra Architecture Common Aptitude Test
Every year, the Government of Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education conducts a Common Entrance Test for aspirants who are seeking admission to degree courses in Architecture. MH AR CET score is applicable for admission to the Five-year degree courses in Architecture (B.Arch.) .With your MH AR CET score, you can apply to all Government & Government Aided Architecture Colleges in Maharashtra, University Departments, and University Managed Institutes in addition to Un-Aided Architecture Colleges that have given consent to participate in the MAH AR CET. This Centralized Admission Process is being conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, M.S., Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra.

Eligibility details for COMED K (B.Arch)

1- The candidate should be an Indian Citizen
2- One should have passed/appeared the HSC (10+2 level) examination
3- One should score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
4- One should write the NATA exam.

Eligibility details for MAH AR CET

  1. The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
  2. 2- The aspirant should have passed/appeared in the HSC (10+2 level) examination.
  3. 3- The candidate should get a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories.
