Pursue a Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree after finishing your secondary education. The B.Arch programme typically lasts five years and is designed to give students the knowledge and abilities they need to work as architects in the construction industry. To develop highly competent experts in architecture, the degree includes both academic and practical modules.

You can select from specialised bachelor's degree programmes in architecture in addition to the standard BArch degree, including:

Engineering and architectural design bachelor's degree

Landscape Architecture Bachelor of Engineering BSc/BA in Architecture Technology & Construction Management

Interior Architecture & Design BA (Hons)

The minimum requirement for a bachelor's degree in architecture is 10+2, and you must pass the NATA exam or another university-specific exam if you intend to apply to Indian colleges. Students who wish to enrol in these programmes abroad will also need to have achieved a passing score on the required exams, such as the ACT or SAT, as well as the English language tests, such as the TOEFL or IELTS.

SUBMIT A JOB APPLICATION FOR AN ARCHITECT.

After completing the Architect Registration Examination and obtaining a licence, you can submit an application to work as an architect. You could work for an organisation, a private practise, or in the industry where you did your internship.

UTILIZE TRAINING PROGRAMMES TO IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS.

Before becoming professionally licenced, all architects must complete a required internship term, which is a part of their bachelor's and master's degree programmes. You will be needed to work as an assistant to a licenced architect in order to get experience as an architect as well as exposure to all the technical aspects of building. For architecture students preparing for their licencing tests, there are regulated training programmes in nations like the USA and Canada. In the US and Canada, these programmes are known as the Intern Development Program (IDP) and Intern Architect Program (IAP), respectively.

OBTAIN YOUR ARCHITECT LICENCE OR REGISTRATION.

Getting registered or obtaining a licence to practise as a professional architect is the last and most crucial step. After earning a bachelor's degree in architecture, you may be able to work as an architect without a licence in some countries, but getting a licence will allow you to apply for more jobs globally. In India, in addition to receiving a diploma from a reputable university, an architect must register with The Council Of Architecture (COA) with all the necessary paperwork. Every foreign nation has an agency that issues licences to architects. For instance, the Architect Registration Examination in the US must be passed (ARE)

OBTAIN CERTIFICATIONS FOR YOUR PROFESSION

In addition to the Architect Registration Examination, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards offers international certification. Although not required, this certificate could help you qualify for jobs in architecture in various states and show off your skills and knowledge in the field.
