What is UPES? 
UPES stands for University of Petroleum Energy Studies at Dehradun made its remark as among the best private universities in India according to NIRF as well according to Outlook. UPES, the foremost private university specialized in their law, management, engineering and design field. UPES offers undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral courses.

UPES animation and VFX program:
UPES School of Design’s B. Des, under graduation course do have a specialization in Animation and VFX. Specialisation in Animation and VFX includes-
• Motion graphics 
• Virtual studio skills 
• composing 
• 3D tracking 
• Particles
• Dynamics
B. Des. in Animation and VFX at UPES, creates a string base of their students in design, video and audio skills, alongside modelling, rigging, texturing, lighting, digital cinematography, digital color grading, and 3D digital graphics. During the duration of course the students will be taught the fundamentals of story telling, character designing, animation principles, post-production and sound design. This make the course at UPES, unique. 

UPES course structure:
UPES B. Des is a course of 4 years. There are approximately 240 seats available for this course. Apart from the core subjects of B. Des, students have the option to choose from subject-focused specialisations. They can also choose minor/exploratory subjects from other schools. 
Step1. Choose design program (B. Des, M. Des) 
Step2. Choose a specialisation from the options available to the selected degree program. 
Step3. Add minors to your degree program from the options available ranging from ethical hacking, digital marketing, robotics etc.

Eligibility:
• Candidates must have minimum 50% score in their 10th and 12th examination in any stream. 
• Candidates must go through UPES DAT examination which occur every year. 
• Candidates can be chosen on the basis of valid board merit, NIFT, NID and UCEED ranking directly to the interview.
