The curriculum for the Post Graduate Program, M Design (M.Des.) in Product Design at the UPES School of Design is created in a way that gradually raises the degree of complexity while covering a wide range of topics that product designers would encounter in their professional lives. The educational process includes team initiatives involving industrial organizations, the social sector, the government, and global corporations.

The curricular framework at UPES is comprehensive in its design, but it also places a strong emphasis on each student's unique desire to learn via experience, investigation, and challenge. Students have the opportunity to select from subject-focused specializations in addition to the main subject.

Additionally, they are permitted to select a minor or exploratory course from one of the following other UPES schools: School of Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Law, School of Business, School of Health Sciences, School of Design, School of Modern Media, and School of Liberal Studies.

Additionally, the curriculum includes Signature and Life-Skills courses through School for Life in response to the complex demands of the global workplace and changing lifestyles. Students are obliged to do mandated internships in the public sector, the social sector, and the government to complete this educational experience.
