NIFT stands for the National Institute of Fashion Technology was established in the year 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Its a Statutory Institute governed under NIFT Act 2006. NIFT is a expert Institution in fashion education which provide integrate knowledge, traditional arts, contemporary thought, academic freedom, innovations in design and technology and creative thinking. It frequently upgrade its curriculum in accordance with the changing needs of the industry. NIFT, today, has spread its wings across the length and breadth of the country with its 17 campuses all over India.

NIFT DELHI:

NIFT Delhi is the first campus of NIFT established in the year 1986 situated in the state of Delhi. According to 2022 India Today, NIFT Delhi is the no. 1 Institute in Fashion designing in India. NIFT Delhi provide both under and post graduation courses. They provide total seats 295. According to Indiatoday and outlook's ranking of 2021 this campus of NIFT has ranked no 1.

• Under graduation courses- B. Des in Fashion Design, Accessory Design, Fashion Communication, Leather Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and B.F. Tech Apparel Production
• Post Graduation courses- M. Des, M.F. Tech, M.F.M.

Fee structure of NIFT Delhi

Here is the fee only for 1st year-

• For B. Des is ₹2.71 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
• B. F. Tech is ₹2.71 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
• M. Des is ₹2.25 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
• M.F.M. is ₹2.25 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
• M. F. Tech is ₹2.25 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
• Ph. D is ₹1.22 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) 

ADMISSION PROCESS AT NIFT DELHI 

FOR ADMISSION IN B. DES

• Candidates have to appear for NIFT Entrance examination which is the national level design entrance test conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology. 
• The NIFT entrance exam includes three rounds - Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test.
• Only after qualifying CAT and GAT, candidates will be eligible to appear for the Situation Test.

FOR ADMISSION IN B. F. TECH

Aspirants have to appear for NIFT entrance exam which includes only General Ability Test (GAT)

ADMISSION PROCESS OF MASTERS

• Candidates have to apply and appear for NIFT PG entrance examination.
• candidates have to crack CAT and GAT to get admission for M. Des. But for MFM and Master of Fashion Technology, candidates have to sit for GAT only.
• After qualifying CAT and GAT or only GAT, candidates have to further qualify case study based GD and PI.
• Qualifying candidates have to register and participate in the NIFT counselling.
