A Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in User-Centered Interaction Design, or UID, is a professional degree that prepares students for careers in the field of design and user experience (UX). With a UID degree, you may be able to pursue a number of different job opportunities, including:

  • UX Designer: UX designers use research, testing, and design skills to create intuitive and user-friendly products and interfaces.

  • User Researcher: User researchers conduct user studies and interviews to understand user needs and behavior, and use this information to inform the design of products and interfaces.

  • Interaction Designer: Interaction designers focus on how users interact with a product or service, and design the flow and behavior of interfaces to make them easy and intuitive to use.

  • User Experience Writer: User experience writers create content that helps users understand and use a product or service, such as user manuals, help documents, and on-screen messages.

  • Information Architect: Information architects design the structure and organization of websites and other digital products, creating navigation systems and content hierarchies that make it easy for users to find what they need.

These are just a few examples of the many career paths that may be available to you with a UID degree. You may also be able to use your design skills and UX knowledge in other design-related roles.
