Hi,
To answer your question in simple words, you have to study the following fashion designer:
1. Complete your Bachelor's Degree
2. Complete your Master's Degree
3. Create your portfolio
4. Make a resume incorporating your Fashion Designing Skills and experience(If any).
There are numerous additional things that you must be doing alongside just studying; like; gaining hands-on experience, Building a professional network, and awareness of trending fashion designs.

So, the above was just a curtain-raiser. Now, we will discuss the courses, programs, and disciplines that are available for designing courses, both UG and PG:
1. Bachelor of Design(B.Des): The program will cover disciplines like Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Product Design, Textile Design, Garment Design, and Industrial Design.
2. Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech): Thie program covers the technical aspects involved in the field of fashion design and the apparel manufacturing industry. 
3. Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design (B.Sc. Fashion Design): This program covers the specialized fields of garment design, interior design, leather design, footwear design, and jewelry and accessory design.
4. Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising (B.Sc. Fashion Merchandising): This course will teach you about the marketing and merchandising aspects of the fashion industry.
5. Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech): This is an advanced post-graduate course that will cover all the technical aspects of designing, it will specialize in garment design and accessory designing.

Apart from the regular UG and PG courses, some institutes also offer Diploma programs as well.
