NID AHMEDABAD

NID stands for National Institute of design, is nationally as well as internationally one of the finest educational and research institution which provide Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated Design courses both for under-graduates and post-graduates and doctoral levels.
National Institute for design is the first design Institute in India established by Indian government, Ford Foundation and the Sarabhai family  in the year 1961 at Ahmedabad. It was an autonomous all-India body. NID has been ranked as India’s No. 1 Design Institute. National Institute of Design has it’s total 7 campus all over India. 

This Ahmedabad campus of national Institute of design is the first campus of NID which was established in the year 1961. The university is located opposite to Tagore Hall, Rajnagar Society, Paldi, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. A total of 17 courses are offered by the university at UG, PG and doctoral levels.

NID AHMEDABAD B. DES COURSE

• Name of the B. Des courses- Animation film design,  graphic design, product design, textile design, exhibition design, ceramic and glass design, furniture and interior design, 
• Duration of the course- B. Des course of UID take 4 years or 8 semester.
• Fees for B. Des course- Fees for B. Des course at UID Ahmedabad will take around INR 13.12 Lakh. 
• Seats Intake- UID Ahmedabad has total 128 seats for B. Des courses. In Animation Film Design, Product Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design courses, each has 19 seats, while rest of the courses has 13 seats. 
• Eligibility criteria- candidates must pass 10+2 exam and qualify NID DAT prelims and mains. 

NID AHMEDABAD M. DES COURSE

• Name of the M. Des courses- Animation film design, film and video communication, graphic design, product design, textile design, ceramic glass design. 
• Duration of the M. Des course- M. Des course of UID take 2.5 years. 
• Fees for M. Des course- Fees for M. Des course at UID Ahmedabad Will take around INR 10.15 Lakh. 
• Seats Intake- UID Ahmedabad has total 133 seats for M. Des courses. Each courses has 19 seats except Ceramic and glass design which has 12 seats. 
• Eligibility criteria- Candidates must graduate with relevant subject and qualify for NID DAT prelims and mains. 

There are courses of Ph. D design for full-time and part time also.
