Dassault Systèmes announces 12th Edition of National Product Design Competition, AAKRUTI

Students in India will have access to the latest technologies to demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship thanks to Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE Works, SOLIDWORKS, and 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

 

Dassault Systèmes announced AAKRUTI 2022, a nationwide product design competition for engineering, design, and technology students in India. The objective of AAKRUTI 2022 is to provide students with the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that tackle both current issues and long-standing problems. 

 

AAKRUTI 2022 to host 5,038 contestants from across India.

AAKRUTI 2022 is expected to draw 5,038 contestants from 23 states across India. The competition will feature 1,384 teams from 302 colleges. There are 143 all-girls teams out of 1,384 total teams. Through this competition, students are exposed to the newest technologies and trends available through Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE Works, SOLIDWORKS, and 3DEXPERENCE platform.

 

AAKRUTI

AAKRUTI is a national contest for students studying engineering (all engineering branches), product design, science, and technology courses, in India. AAKRUTI provides a platform for students from across India to compete and come up with innovative solutions to not only persistent problems, but also future technological and social challenges.

What can one expect from taking part in AAKRUTI, 2022?

 The goal of AAKRUTI 2022 is to provide students across India with the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to today's technological and social challenges, as well as long-standing issues. 

The three stages

The competition is divided into three stages, and consists of creating the product design, submitting the design concept, and finally submitting the finished product. Throughout each stage, participants get to experience how to communicate virtually using the cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE platform. 

The themes involved in the competition

There are a total of five themes in the competition, and each team is required to keep one of those five themes front and center the entire time.

 

Theme 1 is “Good Health and Well Being”. The goal of this theme is to ensure healthy lives and promoting the well-being for all at all ages is essential to sustainable development.

 

Theme 2 focuses on “Affordable and Clean Energy”. The team that chooses this theme is required to work on how energy is central to nearly every major challenge and opportunity.

 

Theme 3 is “ Sustainable Cities”, and it requires the participants to explore how there needs to be a future in which cities provide opportunities for all, with access to basic services, energy, housing, transportation and more.

 

Theme 4 is on “Responsible Consumption & Production”.

 

Theme 5 is “Life Below Water”. The goal of this theme is to create awareness on the careful management of this essential global resource is a key feature of a sustainable future.

 

The participants get to win cash prizes worth INR 3 Lakh,  a one year free subscription of SOLIDWORKS Student License, SOLIDWORKS CSWA AND CSWP Vouchers, and a job opportunity at Dassault Systèmes, India. A college trophy will also be awarded to the maximum number of teams from a college that have participated.  Top “All Girls” team will also get to win a special prize.
