NID DAT 2023 - Can we call it a mystery box after the NID DAT exam revealed some surprising surprises for the candidates this time? After the exam, there were mixed reactions. According to experts, the exam was of moderate difficulty.
In comparison to the drawing section, the aptitude component of the exam was apparently easier. The drawing section's questions took a bit longer to answer.
General Knowledge (GK) and Current Affairs
The prevalence of GK throughout the exam was another surprise to the students. One hundred and eleven of the forty questions were based on a mix of static GK and current affairs. The exams for basic verbal ability, nonverbal reasoning, and reading comprehension were rather straightforward.
Most students' initial response was that "the paper was lengthy."
Drawing Section
In the case of NID, we will rely on what our students say because the question paper is not published or distributed anywhere after the test. We should also make it clear that the aptitude component was straightforward as to be expected, however the drawing section required the pupils to put in time and pay attention to detail.
In the drawing component, there were questions based on storyboarding, unconventional drawing (where you had to come up with a solution to an issue that is widespread in the nation), and 3-point perspective.
EXPECTED CUT-OFFS
Until the answer key is released, the cut-off for this portion of the exam is fairly uncertain. The candidates may gauge how well they did by using the answer key.
About NID DAT:
A two-tier design entrance test, the NID Design Aptitude Test, or NID DAT as it is more commonly known, consists of a preliminary exam and a main examination. To shortlist applicants for admission to the B.Des and M.Des programs offered at NIDs campuses, a national entrance exam is given each year. The NID DAT is used to assess candidates' knowledge, competence, and behavioral aptitude. The only criterion utilized to decide admission to NID is the NID DAT results.
NID Ahmedabad, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam all offer the four-year BDes programs, while NID Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru provide 2-year MDes programs.
