Shri J.B. Dave, the deputy commissioner and general manager of the district industries center in Bharuch, and Mrs. Khyati Nair, the senior manager of the leather branch of GRIMCO, were special guests. Mr. Pramod Salunkhe, the FDDI Campus Incharge, greeted the attendees, who included staff members and students from the Institute.
Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), a local premier school under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, recently celebrated the achievements of its students in a magnificent certificate distribution ceremony held on May 16, 2023.
FDDI, which has 12 state-of-the-art campuses around the country, provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the booming industries of footwear, fashion design, and retail, and has been essential in promoting fast industry expansion, producing major employment and commercial prospects.
The ceremony was designed to honor the 35 students who finished the three-month intense short-term program in Footwear Manufacturing Technologies. The event was co-organized by the Gujarat Rural Industries Marketing Corporation (GRIMCO), a Gujarat government agency.
Special guests include Shri J.B. Dave, Dy. Commissioner & General Manager, District Industries Centre, Bharuch, and Mrs. Khyati Nair, Company Secretary/Senior Manager Leather Branch, GRIMCO. Mr. Pramod Salunkhe, FDDI Campus Incharge, welcomed the guests and attendance, which comprised Institute students and personnel.
Mr. Pramod Salunkhe urged students to join in the academic year 2023-24 for a bright future in the business, while stressing the different activities of FDDI Ankleshwar and the potential of Footwear Design and Fashion Design courses.
Mr. Rajesh Parashar, Sr. Faculty, HOD, Department of Footwear, ended the celebration by thanking all guests and dignitaries for their active involvement and contribution to the event's success.
