
The IIAD DAT 2023 Examination begins from 20th of April. The exam is conducted for admission to UG and PG design programmes.
The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) will hold the IIAD DAT 2023 admission test on April 20 & 21, 2023 (Online) and April 22, 2023 (On Campus).
The IIAD DAT is a written aptitude test that assesses candidates on criteria such as creativity, cultural knowledge, and logical thinking.
The application window for IIAD DAT 2023 closed on April 14. Candidates with a minimum of 50% in their 10+2 can apply for admission.
Candidates who pass the IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) must thereafter take part in the IIAD 2023 counselling and seat allocation process. The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) now offers 200 undergraduate and 20 postgraduate places.

The IIAD entrance exam is a two-hour and thirty-minute written exam in which candidates are evaluated on their drawing and design skills, innovative and creative expression, observation skills, communication and visual strengths, and so on.
The admission process for the IIAD entrance exam is structured in such a way that after taking the written exam, students must go through a studio simulation (for UG candidates) or personal interview (for PG candidates) phase. Students can take the IIAD Entrance Exam either offline or from home as a computer-based test.
Admission to the IIAD is based on a candidate's success in the IIAD entrance exam and studio simulation/personal interview rounds.

The IIAD 2023 test will include questions on the topics covered in the official syllabus. As a result, applicants must check the official curriculum and exam pattern in order to prepare for the exam. The syllabus will include subject-specific content and weightage. Meanwhile, the exam pattern will highlight features such as the exam mode, marking scheme, question kinds, and exam duration.
The candidate must ensure that their preparation is in accordance with the exam pattern.
Candidates are informed that the eligibility conditions for the IIAD entrance exam differ depending on the course.
Admission is open to all candidates who have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent test in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Humanities, or Arts). The following boards accept candidates into the Undergraduate courses at the institute.
Candidates who are in their last year of high school are also able to apply for the IIAD 2023 entrance exam.
Candidates may also be admitted directly into the second year of design programmes at IIAD. Candidates for IIAD lateral entry admissions must have completed the first year of their design diploma/degree programme at a national or globally recognised design college. IIAD admissions for 2023 will be based solely on a candidate's performance in the personal interview and portfolio assessment rounds.
Candidates who have passed their undergraduate exam (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognised college or university are eligible for the IIAD entrance exam 2023. Candidates who will be taking their undergraduate exam in 2023 are also able to apply.
