The Prime Minister Scholarship for Asia is a special scholarship scheme run by New Zealand that promotes a wide exchange of languages, cultures, knowledge, and chances. The program emphasizes the government of New Zealand's commitment to India and its relationship with education, especially to foster the development of close ties between young people from New Zealand and India.

Collaboration with Whitecliffe School of Fashion & Sustainability

A group of 15 students from Whitecliffe School of Fashion & Sustainability, who were also awarded Prime Minister's Scholarships for Asia, travelled to India as part of the collaborative project and collaborated for five weeks with Pearl Academy students and Kala Raksha craftspeople.

30 pupils traveled and spent more than two weeks with the artisans in collaboration with the NGO Kala Raksha from Bhuj, Kutch. The bigger group was divided into smaller groups, and each group was tasked with creating a different garment. Students and an indigenous group worked together to create the needlework.
