Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The National Institute of Design (NID) in Bhopal is organising a seven-day Residential Design Camp to introduce children and youngsters to the world of design and help them develop their talents.
The programme will be held on the NID campus in Acharpura from June 5 to 11. Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Director of NID, Bhopal, highlighted that this type of residential programme is likely being organised for the first time in India by a national institute.
Children can study a range of artistic and creative designs and participate in activities such as tie and dye, textile weaving, calligraphy, photography, graphic design magic, ceramics, book reading, lectures, and so on.
The camp's attractions include repair workshops such as do-it-yourself repairs of daily objects and a Gond painting session led by Padmashree Durgabai Vyam.
Aside from it, some cultural and sporting events will be held. Shabridharan, the camp's coordinator, stated that any MP student in grade VIII or higher is welcome to attend. There is no upper age limit. The programme will accept sixty participants on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants will also receive certificates.
