A candidate must have taken part in all of the tests in both the DAT Prelims and the DAT Mains exams in order to be taken into consideration for the merit list.
Based on the Merit list of DAT Prelims, eligible candidates will get to appear for DAT Mains.
There will be at least three shortlisted candidates for each of the following categories: GENERAL, GENERAL-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, & OVERSEAS. If two or more candidates have the same total score in the DAT Prelims after applying the tie-break policy, they will be assigned the same rank.
The final common merit lists will be created based on the candidate's combined weighted scores from the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains, categorically (Open, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD). For candidates applying to the B.Des. program from abroad, a separate merit list will be created.
The official admissions website (https://admissions.nid.edu), will be the ONLY place where the admissions results for NID's B.Des. program for the academic year 2021–2022 are made public.
Candidates will need to log in to the website in order to view their final results, which will include their scores and ranks. Separate result scorecards (digital or hard copy) will not be sent/provided to the candidates.
• It is entirely and solely the responsibility of applicants to provide accurate information during the application process. NID reserves the right to refuse admission or to cancel an application at any time in accordance with its rules and regulations if it is discovered that any information provided by the applicant when filling out or submitting an application form is untrue. The candidate will be automatically disqualified if there is any attempt, direct or indirect, to influence the management or staff of the Institute.
• The Institute alone has the authority to choose the admissions process for each cycle.
