The PEC Board of Governors Authorizes New Undergraduate Programs.

The next BoG meeting will address several agenda items, including faculty promotions under the career advancement scheme, probation of newly hired professors, and a self-assessment report.

 

On Wednesday, the Punjab Engineering College Board of Governors certified new undergraduate design and engineering courses and chose to keep the present seat capacity.

 

The fee structure for the following session will likewise remain the same. Discussions on faculty recruiting and routine agendas were also part of the meeting.

 

The board members began the session by discussing the external peer review report. The review committee members' observations and recommendations were also considered by the members in attendance.

 

The session resumed with the approval of the minutes of selection committee meetings for the positions of professor in the department of electronics and communication engineering and professor in the department of mechanical engineering.

 

Hiring of 36 Faculty Members

The recruitment process was concluded with the hiring of 36 faculty members (21 assistant professors, 12 associate professors, and three professors) in various departments of the college, and the board members accepted the hiring.

The meeting moved forward with usual agenda discussions and decisions.
