Vivekanand Education Society's College of Architecture, one of Mumbai University's leading colleges, is hosting a national level online training programme on "Parametric Tools and Computational Design in Architecture" until April 23rd, 2023, under the auspices of the Council of Architecture's Training Research Centre (COA-TRC) - Bhopal.
COA- TRC, the academic and research wing established under COA (The Government of India), aims to foster an entrepreneurial culture in the creative minds of young architects and designers so that their ideas can be transformed into newer, niftier products or services that can be used commercially.
This training programme is divided into eight modules. The modules were created with the goal of implementing design projects using parametric design thinking.
In this programme, VES College of Architecture will provide hands-on training for the Rhinoceros 3D and its plugins software, as well as the opportunity to speak with industry professionals about their practical experience, parametric design challenges, and field implementation process.
VESCOA has also invited industry professionals, field researchers, and academicians from Mumbai, Puna, Noida, and Melbourne to share their knowledge of the evolving parametric design needs. This Training programme is intended for students, faculty, researchers, and professionals who want to experiment with a design solution that goes beyond traditional design thinking.
Discussing about this association Principal of VESCOA, Dr Prof. Anand Achari highlighted, "In the dynamic environment of design and development, automated design has become essential. As responsible professionals, we must always keep up with new technological advancements to match architectural practice's academic and technological advancements. This kind of training programme assists participants in integrating and applying their knowledge in their respective academic and professional domains."
"VES College of Architecture's vision is to create a dynamic, knowledge-oriented environment and a centre of excellence in the field of Architecture to create a sustainable, humane habitat. To that end, we frequently organize seminars, workshops, expert talks, and so on. This type of event keeps academics, professionals, and students updated on societal requirements and expectations. Furthermore, this type of programme allows internal faculty to advance professionally and academically." he added.
COA-TRC has coordinated numerous events that have benefited over 10,000 students, intellectuals, and practising architects.
