Finally, the wait is over. The Colosseum, the biggest design destination in India, has opened its doors in Hyderabad. 400+ eminent interior designers, architects, HNIs, and media outlets were present for the grand opening to mark a first-ever launch.
Talking about the launch, Neeraj Harkut, one of the Co-Founders of The Colosseum highlighted, “This is an extremely proud moment for all of us. A design centre of this scale will put Hyderabad on the global map and bring in designers and homeowners not only from India but Internationally as well.”
Tejas Timbadia, one of the other co-founders, shared, “Our objective is to bring the best of product design and luxury home décor under one roof and make sure that the buyer need not go anywhere else for their home needs. Moreover, we wanted to create an international buying experience and hence each floor is designed differently. Walking through The Colosseum is almost like living through a story that unfolds each step at a time.”
The curated centre, created by Kunal & Khushboo Khandelwal of Studio Design Inc., features a unique assortment of curated collections from India and other countries as well as furniture, lighting, kitchens, wardrobes, home décor, and soft furnishings.
There are more than 100 brands of soft furnishings in addition to more than 80 lighting, 120 furniture, and 200 home accessories manufacturers. While each floor features a unique design and highlights a different category, the floors all have a common narrative that unifies the entire experience centre.
The Colosseum also has internal brands such Stitch Story, Palette, Colour Theory, Pentagon, Art Home, D&W solutions, Cube, and Nature Art in addition to a variety of international brands. These companies offer a wide variety of custom-made wallpapers, textures, furniture, and other decor.
The Colosseum and its curation draw inspiration from a variety of sources, but at their core, luxury design unites them. The Colosseum will also feature a handpicked selection of objects that are one-of-a-kind collector artefacts, raising the bar for design discourse in India and throughout the world. Names like Scarlet Splendour, Wriver, Klove, Pods of Desire, Ravi Vazirani Design Studio, Design Ni Dukaan, Escape by Kreatonomy, and others are just a few of the well-known companies and designers involved in this partnership.
