Job Description

We have an open position for a 3D modeler. As a 3D modeler you will be responsible for creating virtual worlds and characters. You will be breathing life into sketches and concept art. You will be working in a team with lots of other talented artists, engineers and programmers. You must be well versed with industry standard 3D modeling programs and tools. Good spatial skills and a well honed sense of color and design will help you succeed in this job.

Education

• Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.

Qualification

• Expert level knowledge of 3D design and animation tools such as 3DS Max, Maya, Zbrush etc.
• Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software, including 3ds Max, V-Ray, SketchUp, and Maya.
• 3D artists in medical illustration must have a working knowledge of biology.
• Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Willingness to remain up-to-date on the latest creative software and hardware.
• While most jobs for 3D modelers do not require certification, earning a certification can help these professionals gain additional knowledge and skills, make them more appealing to potential employers and allow them to work in different industries.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Using 3D modeling, texture, mapping, and other techniques to create graphics, visual effects, and animations.
• Collaborating with Animators and other artists and attending meetings to discuss ongoing projects.
• Reviewing 3D arts and recommending improvements.
• Creating 3D sculpts and assets to meet artistic standards.
• Meeting with clients, Designers, and Directors to discuss and review projects and deadlines.
• Work with artists, animators and programmers to execute projects on time
