Education

• A degree in Architecture with proven working experience as an Architect [one to two years]

Qualification

• A degree in Architecture with proven working experience as an Architect [one to two years]
• Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software [Adobe Photoshop, ProE, SketchUp, 3d Studio VIZ or similar]
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Visual awareness and an eye for detail
• Communication and project management skills
• Ability to handle a minimum of 20 design work projects in a month

Roles & Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss the design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.
• Gather the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts.
• Provide clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends.
• Using CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans for management and client approval.
• Rework and modify designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients.
• Provide management with estimates on cost, time, machinery, construction, and other specifications.
• Use creativity to create harmonious, aesthetically pleasing, and functional landscaped areas
• Perform site analyses that include the assessment of soil conditions, lighting, the view, and the architectural style of the building.
• Plan the landscape, structures within, hardscape, retaining walls, pathways, and other civil work
• Support the choice of plants to suit the landscape taking into account the colour, foliage, climatic conditions, life cycles, height and spread etc
• Plan the finished area by sketching it to scale [detailed drawings].
• Ability to communicate well with clients and other workers [contractors, supervisors, etc.]
• Ensure that all layouts and blueprints are compliant with industry codes and legal standards.
• Ensure all vital information and documentation are recorded and maintained.
• Remain up-to-date with the latest design trends.
