Job Description

Zebra Learn is looking to onboard an imaginative, visionary, chic, and super creative (goes without saying) designer, someone who can make zombies dance (IFYKYK).

Education

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Qualification

• Amazing imagination, strong layout understanding, and deep-diving research skills.
• Strong interest, knowledge, and experience in Typography, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Experience in book designing, comic designing, or in similar fields.
• Preferably 2+ years of proven work experience as a Graphic/Creative/Book Designer.
• Must have a degree in design, fine arts, or communication design from a reputed college.
• A keen eye for aesthetics, details, and alignments.
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills

Roles & Responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible for the overall look and feel of a book.
• You are expected to study design briefs and do the necessary research about the topic and create an identity for the book.
• You’ll work closely with project managers, and, senior designers to determine how best to present the content, adding your own creative touches along the way.
• You’ll also be responsible for creating the actual layout for the book—this includes everything from choosing typefaces, font sizes, color theme, and, design theme to deciding where images should go and how they should be formatted.
• Creating mockups (sketches or electronic versions) of the interior layout to show the designer’s vision for the layout of the book’s pages.
• Designing covers using software such as Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Preparing final files for printing by converting files from one format to another if necessary.
• Making necessary changes as suggested by the Project Manager or the senior designer.
