Job Description

We are seeking a Product Design and Development Head to lead the design and development of our luxury outdoor furniture line. The Product Design and Development Head will be responsible for creating innovative, high-quality, and aesthetically pleasing furniture designs that meet customer needs and market trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design and development, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design or a related field.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in the furniture industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent design skills and ability to create aesthetically pleasing designs that meet customer needs.
• Proficiency in CAD software and traditional sketching methods.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Understanding of safety and quality standards.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement design and development strategies to create innovative and aesthetically pleasing outdoor furniture designs that meet customer needs and market trends.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
• Create 2D and 3D designs using CAD software and traditional sketching methods.
• Oversee the development of prototypes and ensure that designs meet quality, performance and safety standards.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that designs are feasible to produce and cost-effective.
• Manage the design and development team and ensure that team members are meeting their goals and objectives.
• Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the design team.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure that designs meet customer needs and sales goals.
• Continuously review and improve the design and development process to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time delivery of products.
