Job Description
We are seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as an Illustrator and Book Designer. This role involves creating illustrations mainly for books and other printed or digital materials like posters & templates. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for designing book layouts, and covers, and ensuring a cohesive visual experience for the reader.
Education
Bachelor's degree/ Diploma course in Illustration, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Qualification

- Knowledge of software like Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Experience- Familiarity with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).

- Collaborate with authors and editors to understand their vision and bring it to life through visual elements.
- Develop a unique and consistent artistic style that can be applied to different genres and subjects.
- Ensure that illustrations meet quality and brand standards.
- Design book covers that are visually appealing and resonate with the target audience.
- Layout and format book interiors, considering readability and visual aesthetics.
- Collaborate with authors and publishers to understand the tone and style of the content, reflecting it in the overall book design.
- Select appropriate fonts, colours, and images to enhance the visual appeal of the book.
- Work closely with authors, editors, and other team members to understand project requirements and goals.
- Incorporate feedback and make revisions as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and
- timely delivery of projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends in illustration and book design.
- Research and analyze competitors to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
