Job Description

We are looking to hire a Lead Designer who will contribute their human-centered design skills to a cross- section of projects that impact both patient and provider experience within eCommerce contexts or related industry. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to understand and make sense of problem areas, identify, and evaluate opportunities, propose possibilities, and facilitate stakeholders toward meaningful innovation.

Our work has a strong focus on eCommerce & Marketplace opportunities in this role, the Lead
Designer may manage a team of designers, and work closely and inclusively with a broad range of stakeholders. Success is dependent upon a great willingness to both understand true human needs, and align potential solutions against key operational or business priorities.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Human Centered Design (HCD) or related field (i.e. Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Communication/Graphic Design, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design, Human Factors, etc.) required or comparable degree and/or experience

Qualification

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in graphic designing.
• Understands and applies detailed HCD principles and processes, including a detailed understanding of qualitative and quantitative research, analysis, and synthesis methods
• Is visually and verbally articulate; including the ability to lead interactive group development sessions
• The ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and others, influencing external and internal stakeholders
• A strong working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development and the creative process
• Keep up to date on digital consumption trends and being an expert at how to engage people online
• Ability to lead design projects from concept to completion
• Ability to supervise and develop employees
• Experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
• Experience working with Product and Marketing teams

Roles & Responsibilities

• Able to demonstrate the value of design strategy and (human-centered design (HCD), as a strong advocate for the approach within the larger organization
• Capable of working on large or complex projects (or multiple small/mid-size projects) while maintaining momentum and quality
• Uses ethnographic design research methods to develop qualitative insights that impact projects, products, and strategy
• Builds appropriate project plans, goals and work plans to frame early-stage efforts in an actionable and relevant way
• Conducts primary and secondary research to discover unknowns and to explore trends, perspectives, and applications in the field (including market research, stakeholder interviews, contextual inquiry/ ethnographic observation, etc.)
• Delivers appropriate HCD deliverables to demonstrate findings, recommendations or strategy direction including wireframes, prototypes, research reports, personas or service models
• Tolerates ambiguous problem-solving
• Thrives in making the complex simple and digestible
• Managing the design team and freelancers as required and helping develop our people
• Take a lead role in managing the design and creative elements of products for website and a pp.
• Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand and proposition strategy
• Ensuring that design and creative projects are delivered on time
• Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
• Provide quality control over design outputs and production
• Build out and maintain design system & brand book
