Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced NIFT designer with exposure to fashion forecasting and color forecasting, as well as design of fabric. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry and possess exceptional creativity and design skills. The role requires a multitasker who can work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to develop new designs and fabrics that meet the needs of our requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in NIFT Textile Design or a related field.

Qualification

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in NIFT Textile Design or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in textile design, with a proven track record of designing successful products.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of textile techniques, materials, and trends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present design concepts to a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ethical practices in the textile industry is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and attend trade shows and events as required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct fashion and color forecasting research to identify emerging trends and styles
• Develop new fabric designs and patterns based on current and forecasted fashion trends
• Create seasonal collections that meet the requirements
• Present design concepts to the HOD and incorporate feedback into the final product
• Create technical drawings and specifications for fabric production
• Develop and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers and manufacturers
• Work with the production team to ensure that designs are successfully translated into finished products, including overseeing sampling and production processes.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the market and customer needs, and use this knowledge to inform the design process.
• Ensure that designs adhere to industry standards, including sustainability and ethical practices.
