Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Brand Designer to join our non-profit organization in India. Common Purpose a non-profit working with purpose to develop leaders who can cross cultural, institutional, and social boundaries, all so that people can work better together despite our differences.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in creative design and branding, preferably gained in-house or with a branding agency
  • An impressive portfolio, demonstrating recent work with a track record of creative idea generation and development
  • Outstanding Adobe Creative Suite skills, (particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
  • Meticulous when it comes to typography, grids, balance, and white space
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continually enhance our brand presence – at points bringing these back to the wider team
  • Previous leadership experience, with the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire junior staff

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Creating bespoke design pieces, as well as new suites of templates working closely with the UX & Design Director, as well as our content producers and copywriters
  • Leading on operations within the creative process, assisting the UX & Design Director in managing project flows
  • Working with the wider team to brainstorm and craft creative solutions across brand/product/sales
  • Working closely with the programme teams, business units and other cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, provide design solutions, and ensure brand alignment
  • Act as the main point of contact for brand-related queries
  • Ensuring our visual identity guidelines are being followed internally and externally to maintain consistency across all touchpoints and mediums
  • Conducting brand induction sessions for new joiners and refreshers for existing staff
  • Managing our Brand Executive to produce exceptional materials - aiding business development, sales and delivery.
