About UCEED 2023

The IIT Bombay conducts the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED), for admissions to the B.Des program offered by the participating universities.

The 5 Participating Institutes include;

3. IITDM Jabalpur
4. IIT Hyderabad
5. IIT Guwahati

UCEED is a, offline test center-based exam that has two parts - Part A and Part B. Admission to the participating Institutes require passing the exam.

Candidates should be aware that inclusion on the UCEED merit list alone does not ensure admission into the B.Des program. Instead, under the combined seat allocation method, UCEED 2023 qualifiers must submit separate applications for admission to B.Des.

Please note - At the time of online registration, candidates are required to mandatorily select THREE cities of their choice, in the order of preference. Requests to modify the selected city AFTER registration is complete will not be entertained. This is done for various reasons, like, if due to insufficient number of candidates in a particular city or for any reason if a particular city is omitted from the list, then the candidates will be allocated another city from their second or third preference.

UCEED 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Criterion 1: The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1998, if belonging to the Open/EWS/OBC-NCL category, and born on or after October 1, 1993, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

Criterion 2: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year, and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

Criterion 3: The candidate should have passed all subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2022, OR should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2023 in order to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2023. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

Step 1: Registration for UCEED 2023

• A Registration form will appear.
