- iDAT: The IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) is a written exam meant to evaluate a candidate's aptitude for the arts, as well as their capacity for logical reasoning and cultural knowledge. The exam paper includes a combination of written, visual, one-word, and multiple-choice questions.
- iMAT: The written test, IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) is used to evaluate a candidate's communication, logical reasoning, and creative thinking skills. There are both multiple choice questions and writing assignments on the exam paper.
- Studio Simulation Test: The Studio Simulation Test is conducted where candidates make 3D models out of supplied materials working as a small team to address a specific problem. How to fill the IIAD Entrance Exam 2023 Application Form
Step 1: Register - The applicant has to first get registered and create an applicant account.
Step 2: Form Filling - Next fill in personal, academic, and contact details.
Step 3: Upload SOP - The candidate will also have to upload a Statement of Purpose along with the application form.
Step 4: Application fee Payment - The application fee of Rs. 2,500 has to be paid online.
IIAD Admit Cards 2023
After the application period has ended. After the 21st of December, 2022, the Indian Institute of Art and Design will release the admit cards for the IIAD 2023 test. All candidates who have successfully enrolled for the exam will receive admit cards.
The candidates will have to log in to the candidates portal with their login details to download their IIAD Entrance Exam 2023 Admit Cards.

IIAD Under Graduate Course Programs
The IIAD places the successful candidates into their Undergraduate programs with a total of 200 seat intakes spread over it’s 5 prominent courses:
- Interior Architecture & Design
- Fashion Design
- Fashion Communication
- Communication Design
- Fashion Business Management
The Eligibility for the Under Graduate Courses are:
- Candidates with 10+2 or equivalent in any stream; namely Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities, with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% are eligible to apply. Candidates who appeared in the 12th examination in the current academic year are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates are eligible who come from CBSE, ISC, IB, or any other equivalent and recognized Indian & international Higher Secondary Board.
IIAD Post Graduate Course Programs
The IIAD offers Post Graduate course programs with a seat intake of 40 distributed into two courses:
1. Fashion Design:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduates from the Fashion Design/Textile Design/ or a related field from a recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
- Final-year graduate students or students awaiting results may also apply.
2. Fashion Business Management
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduates in any stream or discipline from a recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
