NID Application 2023 has been released!

 The wait is over for every design aspirant in India. The most important among the Best Design Entrance Exams in India has released their online application form for the academic year 2023-24.

The much awaited NID Application Form 2023 has been released on the 22nd of October 2022. The National Institute of Design, or NID, is a prestigious institution in the field of design. To shortlist eligible applicants for the numerous UG and PG design degree courses, this entrance exam is held annually each year. A two-stage competitive test called the Design Aptitude Test DAT (Prelims) and DAT (Mains) will be used to shortlist the candidate. After the successful completion of both tests, the authorities will compile the final merit list for the NID 2023.

How to fill out the NID 2023 Application Form

  1. Candidates must go to the exam conducting authority's website to complete the application form.
  2. From October 2022, the NID Application Form 2023 will be made available.
  3. Online access to the application form will be provided.

NID 2023 Admission Eligibility

For B.Des.

Age Criteria:

  • Indian Nationals (General & General EWS category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 2003 will only be eligible to apply.
  • Indian National Reserved (PWD category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 1998 will only be eligible to apply.
  • Indian Nationals Reserved (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 2000 will only be eligible to apply.
  • Foreign National in Overseas Category: Candidates born on or 1st July 2003 will only be eligible to apply.

Educational Criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed or appearing in higher secondary (10+2 level) examination in Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities or any other stream from a recognized board or university will be eligible to apply.

 

For M.Des.

Age Criteria:

  • Indian Nationals (OBC-NCL, ST & SC Category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 1990 will only be eligible to apply.
  • Indian Nationals Reserved (General & General EWS Category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 1993 will only be eligible to apply.
  • Foreign Nationals in Overseas category: Candidates born on or after 1st July 1993 will also be eligible to apply.
  • Indian Nationals Reserved (PWD Category): Candidates born on or after 1st July 1988 will also be eligible to apply.

 

Educational Qualification:

  • Full-time diploma of 4 years duration in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture, after 12thstandard or equivalent to 12thstandard from any university or institute recognized by law in India.
  • Bachelor’s degree of 3 years duration in any specialization after 12thlevel or equivalent to 12th
  • Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree of 4 years duration in any specialization after the 12thlevel or its equivalent from any university or institute recognized by law in India.

 

NID 2023 Exam Pattern

Here is the exam pattern for the NID 2023 examination:

  • Exam Mode: The paper will be conducted through pen and paper mode.
  • Language of Paper: The language of the paper will be English.
  • Type of Questions: There will be visual and textual types of questions in the paper.
  • Marks: The paper will be 100 marks.
  • Exam Duration: The duration of the examination will be of 3 hours.
  • Studio Test (M.Des DAT Mains): The exam will be 100 marks. The test duration will be 3 hours in the English language.
  • Interview: After the studio test, the interview will be conducted separately.

 

NID 2023 Exam Syllabus

The NID Syllabus 2023 will consist of various topics including Comprehension, Knowledge and Visualization, Creativity, Memory Drawing, Drawing Skills, General Mental Ability, etc.

NID 2023 Admit Card

The 2023 NID Admit Card will be made available online. For the preliminary test, candidates can download their admit cards starting in December 2022. There won't be any offline modes, such as postal delivery, for admission cards.

Their email address and birthdate will be used to download the admission card. In the admit card, information about the exam's date, location, and centre will be listed. Candidates for the DAT Main will have access to the admission card beginning in June 2023.

 

NID 2023 Result

On the website of the organisation in charge of administering the exam, the NID Result will be accessible online. Beginning in May 2023, the DAT prelim results will be accessible. In order to view the results, candidates must go to the website and login.
